Ocotillo & Ruby in Zoisite earrings
Ruby in Zoisite is naturally forming when ruby grows inside the green zoisite host rock. These stones are rose cut, meaning the surface has many small facets giving it extra sparkle. The stones are wrapped in a hand fabricated sterling and fine silver setting. Dangling below are solid sterling silver cast ocotillo seed pods. Delicate seed pods are cast in a single use mold and meticulously matched with its most similar to create a pair. Each pod is unique. These earrings weigh 6 grams each and are 41mm long. The posts are sterling silver, as are the oversized push backs. The larger pushbacks help disperse the weight of the earring, making them more comfortable to wear. Signed “EKW” and marked “925” for sterling silver. These markings are hand engraved.
